This is a picture I took of some flowers at Chaminade. It reminded me of the beauty of nature and how Jesus is in all forms of nature. The different colors of flowers symbolizes that beauty is subjective and can take on many forms, just as humans differ physically. - Mary |
This is a picture I took at the aquarium of the pacific. I thought the jellyfish were really beautiful and calm and were living their life in peace. They reminded me of Jesus because it shows that Jesus and all of God's creation come in all shapes and sizes and we can find peace even in the strangest of places. -Sophia

These are two photos that I took on a flight this summer. The first photo was taken at the beginning of the flight, when it was a lot lighter out; the second, when the flight was ending. Throughout both photos, whether it being daytime or nighttime, there is light. When I saw the light, I instantly thought of God, always being there in my life. No matter where we are, or if we are going through a high or low point of our lives, God will be there to protect us and guide us through it. Jesus loves each and every one of us, and no matter what we do, he will always love us unconditionally. - Taylor
This is a photo I took while hiking right behind my house in Calabasas. I saw this gorgeous view of God's creation and embraced it. When I looked out, I saw the shining light just above the mountains and thought of Jesus being the light and thought how much he loves us and is like a brother to us. I also thought about how Jesus is with us all the time and helps us a long the way and serves as a guide for us. - Cameron

This is a picture I took while I was running through my neighborhood and trying to catch the bus. I was so worried that I would miss the bus and the next one didn't come in an hour and a half. I saw this however, and immediately thought about how God created this world filled with seasons and change to remind his children that nothing lasts forever. It gave me peace and comfort that knowing that however panicked, or stressed, or worried I might be,.. Nothing lasts forever.
This is a picture I took of the sun setting over my community lounge. I initially was trying to photograph the wispy aspen tree and the sun but my camera unfocused. When I reviewed it, there was a lens bubble in the photo and the light reflected off the bubble was just so pretty that I had to use it. I think of Jesus as that bubble. He interjects the big picture but its not a disturbance. He's a detail that makes the world that much more beautiful. The bubble is the central point of the photograph, even though it was by accident that it was there. It was unexpected and spontaneous, and I believe Jesus capture these qualities fairly well. -Joe
